What is bird flu?

Bird flu is also known as avian influenza, a type of viral infection. Not only birds but humans and other animals also get infected by this. However, this virus is mainly confined only to birds and in very rare cases humans also get infected by it. When bird flu attacks the human body, it can lead to a fatal situation. In humans, the infection spreads mainly through direct contact with an infected animal or contaminated environment. These viruses do not have the ability to spread from one person to another. The earliest symptoms of bird flu in humans are high fever and lower and upper respiratory tract infections.

Causes of bird flu:

H5N1 occurs naturally in wild birds, but it can easily spread to domestic birds and poultry farms, etc. The disease is transmitted to humans through contact with an infected bird’s stool, nose, mouth, or eyes.

This disease is also caused by eating an infected bird’s egg or eating less cooked meat.

When in contact with an infected bird.

Due to travel in the infected area.

Persons living with an infected person.

It is also possible that some people become infected after swimming or bathing in contaminated water from the feces of infected birds.

Symptoms of Bird Flu:

There is a complaint of chest pain.

Blood comes from the nose.

There is joint pain.

Muscle pain persists.

The nose may be closed or runny.

There is a pain in the bones.
