Prostatitis Symptoms and Causes

What is prostatitis?

Inflammation of the prostate is called prostatitis. The prostate is a gland that lies below the bladder in men. It looks like a walnut. The prostate gland produces semen that nourishes and transports sperm.

In the case of prostatitis, there is often severe pain or difficulty in urination. Other symptoms of prostatitis may include back pain, pelvic pain or genital pain, and sometimes flu-like symptoms.

Prostate inflammation can occur in men of any age, but this problem is more common in men 50 years of age or younger. Prostatitis can occur for many different reasons. If it is due to a bacterial infection, prostatitis is usually treated with antibiotics. Although prostatitis is not caused by any bacterial infection, it can sometimes be difficult to determine its exact cause.

Depending on the cause of inflammation in the prostate, inflammation in the prostate may occur slowly or abruptly. This condition can also be cured on its own and in many cases it requires treatment. Certain types of prostatitis can affect for months or even more often, this problem is known as chronic prostatitis.

Causes of prostatitis :

The reasons for enlarging the prostate gland are not entirely clear. According to some theories, men are related to age-related and hormonal imbalances.

According to one theory, prostate gland tissue develops with age in men.

Another theory suggests that the balance of testosterone and estrogen hormones plays a major role in the development of the disease. In young men, testosterone levels are higher than estrogen levels, and with age, this ratio changes in the opposite direction. Increased estrogen hormone levels make the prostate gland tissue larger.

Symptoms of prostatitis:

Frequent urination on the enlargement of the prostate gland.

Intermittent urination.

Urination but a very small amount of urination.

Late urination.

The edge of the urine is thin.

Also, the torrent breaks in between.

Urin stopped and experienced pain while urinating.

Initially, a person experiences frequent urination 1-2 times in the night, which causes poor sleep.
